Consultation
We offer a complimentary fifteen minute phone chat to better understand your wants and needs, and answer your questions to be sure we're a good fit. It's kind of like speed dating for a garden makeover project! It's important that your goals and budget are clearly understood, so that we can create an outdoor space you've only dreamt of thus far!
Site Visit
The next step to your new patio, is to book a site visit online. We'll meet in person and assess your sunlight, the current condition of the space, take detailed measurements and learn a bit more about your lifestyle and your ideal outdoor day. Upon agreement of working together, a deposit will be needed to continue on to the best part-the design phase!
We install, you enjoy!
Once the design has been agreed upon and finalized, we're on our way to making it all happen for you! Our mindful production team will carefully and quietly install everything you'll need for your patio to help you relax, reboot and reconnect to nature!

Kristin Barrett Brown
For over 20 years, Kristin led a successful event design and production firm in NYC, where organic elements played a key role in her work. She and her team created experiences for brands like Target, Giorgio Armani, Laura Mercier, Smith & Hawken, and Godiva. She also enjoyed work as a photo stylist and window designer for luxury retailers along Fifth Avenue.
Her move to Philadelphia was driven by an ambitious design project- the desire to transform a modest rowhouse into a high-functioning, beautiful home—complete with a steam room, rooftop shower, radiant sidewalk, and even a dumbwaiter to the roof deck. She also felt drawn to a city where community engagement—like tree planting and urban gardening—was part of daily life.
Rowhouse Growhouse was born from Kristin’s deep experience in design and her love of nature. Based in Philadelphia, America’s Garden Capital, the business blends creativity, sustainability, and smart outdoor solutions.
Kristin lives in Philly with her husband, Gadge, and her charming Senegal parrot called Nelson.
